My education includes a BS in Hospitality Administration from UNLV, massage training from Nevada School of Massage Therapy, and I am a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner through the Centers for Spiritual Living, where I regularly participate as both student and teacher.
Additional education comes from The Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy; George Eversaul for AquaStretch; Dr. Nancy Brandt, DVM for essential oils; Anne Sagendorph-Moon for guidance in how to be your most authentic self at all times; and Suzanne Scurlock for bodywork at a distance.
My Story
I felt completely powerless...
In 1991, I received a head injury from a roof access door. The result was a chronic migraine that lasted for well over a year. I felt completely powerless—in my own healing and in my own life.
I found relief in unexpected ways. My physical body began to heal as I focused on healing my emotions, healing my thoughts, healing my spirit, and healing my body. I kept discovering that the pain and the healing processes are all connected, and I couldn’t experience healing for one part of myself without healing all parts.
These were not entirely new concepts to me. I was born in raised in San Francisco and the East Bay area, where I was exposed to many different belief systems and ideologies. I grew up learning about meditation, grounding and clearing, generational work, energy work, and neutrality over the dinner table, starting at about age 7.
The most debilitating epidemic...
Since then, I’ve come to realize that the feeling of powerless is one of the most debilitating epidemics on our planet. I have made it my life’s mission to do my part in eradicating this plague. I am passionate about the body-mind-spirit connection. As a practitioner, I work to address dis-ease in all three of these areas in order to facilitate healing the whole person. This passion has guided my education my entire life.
Today, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, with a specialty in CranioSacral Therapy. I am also a licensed spiritual practitioner who focuses on stillness and connection. I am a trained listener—physically, energetically and spiritually. I know how to listen to your body’s intuition, as well as my own intuition. Additionally, I literally perceive things differently. For example, the sentence “6+18+13=violet” makes sense to me.
An unprecedented opportunity...
My vision is that all of those who come through my practice or work with me on their personal healing journeys will realize their own power to heal themselves and stand as an inspiration to others throughout the world. As I help to light the torch of another person, that person becomes a light bearer who can go on to pass on the flame to someone else.
I believe we have an unprecedented opportunity, right now, to heal all levels of our lives—individually and collectively. As we each step into our power—as individuals and as communities—we will create the healed planet we dream of.
